ABOUT ATRA & SERVICES

While we are genre and platform agnostic, we are at our most comfortable when we support ambitious, long-term and complex game development projects, from early production all the way through live services.

Every member of our team is selected not only for technical and artistic excellence, but also for their ability to communicate clearly, collaborate seamlessly, and operate confidently in English-speaking environments.

Our processes are designed for flexibility and alignment with our partners’ needs: whether that means fully integrating into your production and communication pipelines, or operating through a streamlined single point of contact. We are at our best when embedded alongside your team, working as a seamless extension of it.

It starts with a conversation! So, reach out below 🙂

We then assess your production stage, team structure, and specific gaps. Based on that, we propose a clear engagement model: whether that’s autonomous production with defined milestones, embedded support and staff augmentation, or focused task and asset delivery through a single point of contact.

Once aligned, we move quickly to formalize and begin staff selection and production ramp-up to integrate into your pipeline. No unnecessary friction.

Our studio covers the full spectrum of game development and co-development disciplines required to build modern games.

Our core strengths are engineering, design, game art, and production.

Unlike traditional service providers, ATRA is not a “black box” vendor or a simple staff-augmentation model.

We build senior teams that work directly alongside our partners’ developers, taking ownership of meaningful parts of the project.

ATRA’s HQ is in Bucharest, Romania but we hire globally, with a focus on Europe and Eastern Europe, in particular.

We are open to different types of collaboration, including both full-time and freelance roles. In some cases, client or project requirements may influence which type of engagement is possible.

Members of our core team are typically full-time employees, while project team members may work with us through more flexible arrangements.

We are also always open to expanding our network of partners and freelancers, so even if you don’t see an active opening, feel free to send us a spontaneous application.

Yes. We make active efforts to integrate junior talent into our team whenever possible. In some cases, this may involve participating in an internal apprenticeship or mentorship program before moving into a full production role.

It is important to note that junior roles still require meeting certain industry-standard minimum expectations, particularly for more complex and demanding projects.

We are also working on developing additional educational initiatives and opportunities for early-career talent, so stay tuned.

Flexible working arrangements depend on the role, the type of collaboration, and the requirements of the client or project.

For our leadership and core full-time team, we follow a studio-first approach. We strongly believe in the value of face-to-face collaboration when ambitious teams are working together to build something great.

Studio-first does not mean always on-site. It simply means that coming to the studio is prioritized when it brings value to the team and the project, while still maintaining the flexibility to work from home when needed. In practice, this typically results in an average of around three days in the studio and two days working remotely. Naturally, extended remote work is possible in special circumstances.

For many production augmentation roles, however, we are fully open to 100% remote collaboration, provided that the security and confidentiality requirements of the studio and our partners can be met.

We do not currently have a fixed relocation policy, but we are open to providing different levels of support depending on the role, the candidate’s situation, and the needs of the project or studio.
